Metal cutting methods
The commonly used metal cutting methods in Iran include thermal cutting, flame cutting, laser cutting, saw cutting, guillotine and jet cutting. The choice of each of these items should be determined based on the type of metal and its final application. In addition, most of these methods require special devices and tools. So, to use them, you must provide the necessary tools.
ار thermal cut
In thermal cutting processes, an energy source is used to heat certain parts of the metal and finally, melt it. Due to the high speed of this method of metal cutting, the experts prefer to use it.
ب Flame cut
In flame cutting, a combination of oxygen and fuel such as acetylene or propylene is used. As a result, a flame is created to melt the metal at the cutting site. Another type of flame cutting is plasma cutting. In this process, instead of using a mixture of oxygen gas and fuel, an electric arc is used as a heat source.
Laser cut

Laser cutting is also one of the types of thermal cutting in which laser energy is used to melt metals. A monochromatic and coherent light beam is generated in a laser resonator and focused on the metal material through a lens. This causes heating and melting of the sections in question and as a result of its cutting.
ان Mechanical cutting processes
In mechanical cutting processes, physical tools are used to cut metal materials. There are different ways to perform mechanical cutting. The speed and quality of cutting varies greatly depending on the mechanical cutting process used.
ان Cut with saws
Cutting is done using a saw in a horizontal or vertical position. Saw cutting is a relatively slow cutting process. But it is known as one of the simplest ways to cut metal.
ار Cutting sheet with guillotine
Cutting metals with a guillotine is one of the optimal and fast methods that is usually used for steel sheets. This method produces a very clean cut. This machine is equipped with CNC, which is used to control the operation of the machine by adjusting the distance of the blades and adjusting the flow for all types of sheets.
Jet cut
Jet cutting is another type of mechanical cutting process in which water is sprayed through a nozzle at very high pressure. Water alone can be used to cut soft materials. But when combined with abrasive materials, it can lead to wear and ultimately, metal cutting.

There are different ways to cut metals. The alloy that makes up the metals and their hardness has caused the cutting of metal to require high sensitivity and precision. Therefore, it is very effective to follow the correct working principles and set the cutting devices correctly.
